David Hazlett is a Rhode Island based printmaker, painter, and educator. His studio is located in Pawtucket, RI, where he makes encaustic paintings and works on paper. David’s approach to painting borrows heavily from the tools, techniques, and processes of printmaking. While David’s process for making work is deeply intuitive and personal, the resulting work evokes the universal experiences of place, memory, spontaneity, and light.
David completed a Studio Art Major at Colorado College, and he received his M.F.A. in Printmaking from Arizona State University.
