Known as the frontman of the alt-rock band Better Than Ezra, this prolific singer/songwriter has penned numerous hits for Train, Sugarland, James Blunt, Howie Day, Missy Higgins, Blondie, and more.

Ever since Better Than Ezra made it big with their double-platinum debut album Deluxe (1993) featuring the hit single “Good,” frontman Kevin Griffin has used his time in the spotlight to craft brilliantly catchy pop-rock gems.

New Orleans-based Better Than Ezra continued to cement their status as a defining band of the ’90s and beyond. Their follow-up album Friction Baby (1996) went gold, and singles “Extra Ordinary” and “Juicy” kept the band in radio rotation well into the 2000s.

When Better Than Ezra went on hiatus, Griffin focused his energies on songwriting, penning radio smashes like Sugarland’s “Stuck Like Glue” as well as songs for other high-profile artists including Train, James Blunt, and Joshua Radin.

Better Than Ezra returned in 2014 with the album All Together Now, which peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top Modern Rock/Alternative Albums chart.

“Unlike many of their peers who faded into nonexistence…Better Than Ezra consistently kept exploring their sound, and eighth studio album All Together Now finds them at characteristic heights.”—AllMusic.com
